Mudra - Special Mudhras

Mudhras For Meditation:

If one sits and does meditation with mudras in the following order,the ki or prana without any interference raise from mooladhara to the crown and finally settles down at the heart center. Each Mudhra can be kept by both the hands for 12 minutes (total = 60 mts). This mudhra activates the hara center (both hara chakras and basic chakras)

first Mudhra  Formation of the first mudhra: Right hand thumb touches ring   finger and little finger (tips). While the left hand thumb touches   middle finger and ring finger (tips).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mudhras 2  Formation of the second mudhra: The right hand thumb touches the tips of  index finger and middle finger while the right hand thumb touches middle finger and ring finger. This mudhra activates solar plexus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

meditation3  Formation of the third mudhra: In this mudhra the index finger is kept at the base of the thumb while at the same time, thumb touches middle finger and ring finger (Same for both the hands).This HEART mudhra sends ki or prana to the heart chakra and energizes the physical heart. 

 

 

 

 

 

meditation 4  Formation of the fourth mudhra: In this mudhra, the thumb is placed at the bottom of ring finger, and the rest of the fingers are placed on the thumb. This mudra sends ki or prana to the entire head – back third eye, crown and third eye chakras (Same position for both the hands).

 

 

 

 

 

 

meditation 5  Formation of the fifth mudhra: In the mudra, the thumb touches the first three fingers, namely index finger middle finger and ring finger (same position for both the hands). This mudhra can be called BLISS MUDRA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Special Mudhras:

special meditation 1 Acceptance Mudhra:

  The right hand touches index and middle finger. Left hand thumb touches middle finger and Ring finger. This Mudhra activates solar plexus chakra and very useful for digestion. After taking food one has to be in this mudhra for 20 to 25 minutes. When there is a conflict and one wants to remain peaceful, he can be in this Acceptance Mudhra. When one wants to stop criticizing or when one wants to have tolerance, he can be in this Acceptance mudhra. To activate the function of the liver, stomach and pancreas this Acceptance Mudhra is very useful. When one wants to shed his ego and pride, he can be in this Acceptance Mudhra and go on saying within, the following: “I AM SORRY. PLEASE FORGIVE ME. LOVE. THANKS. DIVINE .“

 

special meditation 2 Heart Mudhra:

  THE INDEX FINGER is kept at the base of the Thumb (both hands), while the tip of the thumb touches both middle finger and ring finger. This mudhra sends the energy to the heart center and tones the heart. In the evenings, when one becomes tired, this Mudhra gives vitality and the person is fully energized to continue the remaining work. The Air is pacified and this mudhra arrests the unwanted thoughts. This can be also called HERE AND NOW Mudhra because the space and earth, when stimulated simultaneously, one is in the PRESENT. By being in this Mudhra one can very easily watch the breath and go to alpha state.
